About Denry Okpor

Biography

Denry Okpor is a UK-based serial entrepreneur, author, actor and property investor. Over his career he has founded and run several businesses. The best known is Sips Nail Spa & Bar: he designed, built and ran its three venues in Stratford, Mayfair and Croydon, each combining nail spa treatments with a cocktail bar, doing much of the construction work himself.

Building and running those venues taught him that most new venues don't fail because of the idea; they fail on the premises, the licence, the build or the cash. In October 2026 he published his first book, Launch Your Venue: The Step-by-Step Playbook for Opening a Salon, Café or Bar in the UK, the practical guide he wishes he'd had when he started.

Alongside his businesses, Denry is a property investor.

On screen, Denry played Uncle K in Squeeze (2013), a 43-minute London-set crime drama short directed by Josh Bridge, which premiered at Cineworld Chelsea.
