Longer bio

Denry Okpor is a UK-based serial entrepreneur, author, actor and property investor. Over his career he has founded and run several businesses. The best known is Sips Nail Spa & Bar, whose three venues in Stratford, Mayfair and Croydon combined nail spa treatments with a cocktail bar; Denry designed, built and ran them, doing much of the construction work himself. Opening those venues taught him that most new venues don't fail because of the idea: they fail on the premises, the licence, the build or the cash. In October 2026 he published Launch Your Venue: The Step-by-Step Playbook for Opening a Salon, Café or Bar in the UK, a 26-week plan from idea to opening night. Denry is also a property investor, and on screen he played Uncle K in Squeeze (2013), a London-set crime drama short directed by Josh Bridge that premiered at Cineworld Chelsea.
